About Us
The Ajo Cemetery Association was established in 1986 when Phelps Dodge deeded the land and cemetery to the Ajo Chamber of Commerce who in turn gave it to the association. Birdie Nixon was the first taker and oversaw its care for many years, until her passing. The cemetery is located behind the LDS church off 1st and Cedar.
